FRANCE: 

Loulou’s Gang is the title of a collection of Small hard-cover comic books written by Stephan Valentin, doctor of psychology, and illustrated by the awarded winning artist Laurent Houssin. These books present social problems facing children 6-12 years and provide psychologically formed solutions based around amusing stories full of suspense. The problems include for example racism, amorous attachments, discontent in the home, video games addiction and environmental issues. Each book ends with advice from Loulou the dog on the event he has witnessed.

Stephan Valentin is on the shortlist of the "Green me Award" for best filmproject.

The well known pediatrician and delegate Edwige Antier has submitted a law against spanking children in France and has given an interview in the LE PARISIEN. Valentin's book "La fessée, pour ou contre?" (Spanking, pro or contra?) has been mentionend as a commendation for all those who would like to know more about this subject. Since then, Valentin is daily in the news. 18 European countries have already forbidden spanking and other violent punishments of children like slapping in the face. Sweden has voted for this law in 1979.
